To Hyjal and back?
August 19, 2011The cold breeze drew thru Silvermoon as the soldiers lined up. He
gazed at them, prefect lines, perfect clean soldiers, ready for the
war against Ragnaros minions in the land of fire. The Molten front had
been standing strong for weeks as the Guardians of Hyjal under the
lead of Malfurion fought back against the demons.
He saw one of the soldiers leaning down, cowering a bit on is horse,
like he was afraid of what was to come. He smiled a bit as he
remembered himself in that position, so many years ago. Just before
his first war, against the dwarfs in Alterac Valley.
He moved shiftlingly waiting for all the soldiers to line up. He could
see the last pairs get in line, the sound of horses and armor, this is
where he belonged, in the front lines! He gazed to the back of the
army, the clerics and arcanists was sitting on theire hawkstriders. -
Im glad I didnt turn out like you little brother, he whispered softly
to himself, I could never stand those birds. He smiled as he saw
Joshys blonde hair among them, nodded slightly towards him.
A fanfare sounded and it was time. He collected his shield, weapon and
helm. As he moved down the stairs of his house, where the army was
positioned outside, he grabbed some bloodfern from the shelf, just
incase his old wounds would come back to haunt him. He opened the door
widely, the same second as Lorthemar came down the street with a whole
procession. A small stableboy handed over his horse, he flipped
the boy a goldcoin and sat up, just in time to meet the Regent Lord as
he came up to the army.
- Firewind, Lorthemar nodded towards him. – Regent Lord, Jetzy bowed
deep down as he saluted Lorthemar. The troops are ready. – Any word
from Malfurion? – Not more then that theyre standing strong sir.
Lorthemar noded again, -Good to see youre doing well, are your brother
among the troops? Jetzy gazed over the troop and noded towards the
Arcanists, – Indeed he is, I hope he´ll do well.
Joshy hadnt been in training long before getting reqruited to the
troops. His life had changed dramaticly from the quiet farmboy life he
lived before he got to know he was a Firewind two years ago, Before
the news of Jetzys death reached him. After visiting Silvermoon for
the ceremony over the people that died fighting the scourge, where
both Jetzy and his fiancee was mentioned, Joshy decided that the
countryside wasnt anything for him, he had never fitted in with the
elves there, they were diffrent. He was a broadshouldered warrior,
they were slick woodelfs.
Another fanfare awoke the Centurion of his thoughts. Lorthemar looked
at him – Good luck. The big gate of Silvermoon opened and the troop
started moving, hundreds of elfs was about to do the long trip to
Mount Hyjal to enforce the Guardians at the Molten Front. Jetzy
ordered scouts to be sent out, just incase. The walk to the coast
wasnt very long but there could be demons errupting anywhere.
As Silvermoons high walls dissapeared in the distance one of his
sergents approached him, it was his right hand man Darkmourne. – Im
gonna marry her, he said. – Starseeker? Jetzy smirked at him while
raising an eyebrow. – Yes. I promised her Ill come back saftely, I
told her only the spirits know if thats gonna happen, but Im willing
to try my best. Darkmourne looked at his Centurion with a seriousnes
in his eyes. – I wont let anything happen to any of my men. Jetzy
noded reassuring. – I just want you to tell her, if Ragnaros gets
the best of me. I dont trust those guards back in Silvermoon, theyre
shady at points, and I want you to be there for her. Shes already lost
one husband to the demons, I dont want her to lose me before we´ve
even gotten married. – Ill make sure of that, Jetzy looked after him
as he fell back into the line of men.
